Opies pickled walnuts!! something I thought I had seen the last off but no and how pleased am I that BCS stock this little gem!! Being of a quality taste and a unique texture I find these walnuts go well a taster with good strong cheddar cheese and a cold beer!! surprisingly soft these walnuts also go well with cold meat such as ham, we also have with olives!! great job

So good to find Opies Pickled Walnuts! Pickled Walnuts have always been difficult to find in supermarkets and now they are delivered to your door. So much easier to open the jar than to pickle the walnuts from the tree. Their taste compliments cheeses and charcuterie and once opened they soon get eaten. So moreish. I just wished that there were more in the jar!

When I was pregnant with my first child I went to a very 'upscale wedding where they served pickled walnuts on tiny crackers spread with cream cheese. I loved these appetizers, the walnuts were slightly soft and gorgeous.
I ate a mountain of them and developed wicked heartburn when I went to bed, I hardly slept and was walking around like a zombie the next day!.
I have enjoyed them since and as I was not pregnant I did not have a problem. They are truly a great decadent little treat.

When I was first introduced to Pickled Walnuts I was quite sceptical but thought I would embrace them.
Although they did not turn my world upside down I was very surprised by the taste.
I would recommend eating them with cheese as the contrast between the two is very exciting, leaving you extremely satisfied.

Opies Pickled Walnuts are not just for Christmas, they are a wonderful accompaniment to any cold meats and strong cheeses.
My rating would have been five stars if I had not found the odd rather hard walnut in the jar I recently ate, the walnut shell had started to form so the pickle wasn't as soft and luscious as it normally is.
