I am hopeless at making sauces and curries so I rely on having Pataks to hand, so easy to use and you can make any quantity you want so don't waste any. For some reason I am unable to find Pataks curry paste in my country it seems to have disappeared off the self so I was so pleased when I discovered the British Corner Shop and found that I could have it delivered, I wouldn't be without it in my store cupboard

I am never disappointed with Pataks in general, but this is my favourite paste. It is so easy to use and the results are simply delicious. It is quite spicy, but you can control the spice level by the amount you use. It lasts in the cupboard and is handy for a quick meal.

One of the best pastes I have ever used, was switched on to them whilst watching Jamie Oliver using some.These are not sauces they are the ground spices in oil as if you have ground them yourself.
The Madras mix has a wonderful flavour very rich, and when cooked out give a wonderful colour.

Pataks pastes are really excellant. The instructions are easy to follow - good eyesight is needed as the font is minute. The madras paste has a pleasant amount of piquancy. Ideal with. Chicken or lamb. The added tinned tomatoes and added water recommended results in a good moist delicious curry.

As a big fan of most things Indian (apart from the fact that all of them do not eat cows)I have to admit that I really like this curry paste. Madras is always a favourite in our house. It is spicy yet not too mind blowingly spicy like the vindaloo can be. A great curry for those that like hot but not too hot.
