This is a lovely change from the usual orange marmalade. A lovely mild flavour with just the right amount of zing. It is well priced and well worth buying from British Corner Shop. It is a taste of home from home, lovely for a Sunday breakfast sat on the terrace thinking of the glorious weather in the uk
This product is very different from the other marmalade on the market, I did not see a lime version before. It is tangy yet not too acidic and is even a little sweet, and has a very authentic flavor. I enjoy it most served on crusty rustic bread, with butter and with a nice cup of tea to go with it.
In the sixties we always had Golden Shred marmalade, I first tasted Lime marmalade because my grandmother always had it in her house. 50 years later I now always buy Frank Coopers marmalade, but purely for nostalgic reasons I thought I'd give Roses Lime Marmalade a try, It's absolutely delicious. To be honest I seem to remember not being too keen on it back in the day, but now I love it, just bear in mind I think it's more an adult taste not something for the children, give it a try, you won't regret it.
Roses brand is one of my favourite brands of marmalades. They have a unique flavour and no real bits of peel inside.
I actually love going into the fridge and eating a spoon of it, plain, when I am in the mood for something sweet, yet not too sickly sweet. It tastes a bit like the jellies I used to get here in the USA, but don't any more because of the GMO ingredients. This is sweet, yet tangy, wonderful on toast in the morning or just a day time snack.
Simply the best marmalade for toast and very hard to find abroad. Its tangy flavour is delicious paired with peanut butter in white bread sandwiches, or as a topping for cheesecake or pancakes. Very fruity and not too sweet, so you can also use it as part of a marinade for chicken or veal.
