Saxa Salt is a brand name I grew up with so, naturally, it's a company I trust. The quality of their salt really is great and it adds so much flavour to home cooking and baking. This 750g drum has a retractable pouring spout that makes it so easy to refill smaller salt cellars at home. The drum is made of sturdy cardboard with a plastic lid spout so is unlikely to get damaged in transit and can easily be stored in a food cupboard without spoiling.

I think salt is very under appreciated. Where would we be without it? It flavours our cooking,we use a pinch in our baked goods. Yeast does not work without it. Our vegetables need a little to waken up the nuances of flavours.
We cannot forget our boiled egg with toast soldiers, it would not be the same without a pinch of salt. I openly admit I still make toast soldiers when I have boiled eggs.

This Saxa Table Salt Drum is a drum of salt that I was very familiar with growing up. It was regularly used to top up the smaller salt shaker that we used during cooking or eating meals.
It has a large quantity of salt and is a reasonable price. The drum is resealable which is always useful.
