Oregano is a pungent green herb which partners well with a variety of foods, from lamb to vegetables, stuffing and egg dishes. This jar from Schwartz is a high quality dried product and a handy store cupboard staple.
Best added just at the end of cooking, so that it retains its pungency, it goes particularly well with tomatoes, aubergine and lamb. Alternatively, it also tastes delicious when sprinkled onto pizza, pasta sauces or over Greek salads.

Schwartz Oregano is perfect for all mediterranean dishes. Good quality, flavourful dried leaves of oregan, easy to use and handy to have in the pantry. No pizza can be called such without oregano! Also used in pasta dishes, some meat stews, vegetable bakes and lots more. One of the most used herbs in Italian cuisine.

I've been trying to cut salt out of my diet recently so i have had to come up with different flavour combinations to avoid the craving of adding salt to a dish.
Most of these combinations use a base of Oregano, Basil and Paprika. Granted its not a common mixture of flavours, but you haven't had potatoes until you've added them all in.
Oregano is probably my favourite spice right now and it's a great way to experiment with flavours to replace the things you shouldn't over indulge on (i.e. salt )
