Tiptree green gooseberry conserve is the ideal fruity treat that i adore I realise not everybody will like this slightly acidic fruit but I love it starting off by making my coffee I then proceed to toast 2 crumpets which I top with butter and top off with a liberal dollop of gooseberry conserve and proceed to devour before the wife gets home

Tiptree make fabulous jams and preserves. I found a few stores selling their produce in The Hague during the last 36 years but the hunt is getting more and more difficult as the physical stores close down or move. I find no joy in having to make a 2 hour round trip by car just to buy British foods in Amsterdam when I can now easily order it on-line and pay less than my parking fee to have it delivered to my home.
Tiptree gooseberry jam reminds me of my youth when mum would make her own from our gooseberry bush in the back garden. If I close my eyes, I can almost transport myself back to the 50's and Essex!
