I ordered this product on 11th January and it arrived here in South Africa on 25th January! I was so excited as we cannot buy proper Corned Beef over here. I am used to Princes, which is 98 cooked Beef, with no other meat by-products. In South Africa they sell 'Corned Meat' in tins which contains beef, poultry and vegetable protein sometimes pork, minimum 45 meat. It's absolutely vile. So pleased that I can now find the proper stuff!! Thank you. And it was on sale! The BBE date is April 2026 which is fantastic, but it won't last that long.....I'll be ordering more very soon.

Princes Corned beef is something that i have been eating since childhood!! My first experience of this food was my uncle telling me how the troops were issued with cans of it during ww2!! my first tasting was not long after and i still love it in a sandwich or with chips and a side salad a very versatile food always pays to keep a spare in the larder!!

Over the years I've tried many brands of Corned Beef and have always come back to Princess. There's no excess fat covering the tasty meat, it's also not overly salted which some other brands can be. There's no gristle either, that can be really off-putting. The last 'Own Brand' tin I had was covered with about 14'' of fat and full of Gristle, it might have been a one-off, but I wasn't going to waste my money. Princess is a little more expensive, but after all, it is a premium brand, I'd rather pay a little more for the quality and consistency. I make sure there are always a couple of tins in the cupboard, just a few simple ingredients added and you have a really satisfying meal.

Corned beef is something that is difficult to come across in Europe, which is why I buy it from the British Corner Shop. It is delicious and a must for every cupboard. It is versatile and we use it for so many things. You can use it on baked potatoes with cheese and onion, it is delicious!! My husband loves it and we will definitely order again!
Nina from Norway
I already tasted a lot of corned beef in my life and was my first time on this brand, Princes. I am glad it did not disappoint me at all. I liked it! It was not salty and the flavor just complements everything I mixed in it. I sauteed onions, a bit of garlic and small pieces of potatoes then mixed the corned beef. Got my cravings satisfied!

Princes Corned Beef Large is a good size to have of a very good product. My son loves toasted corned beef sandwiches so the Princes Corned Beef disappears rather quickly. There are tins of corned beef to be had that are far more fatty and far less tasty than Princes so I prefer to buy Princes for my son's toasted sandwiches.

One of my relative bought me this gorgeous, tasty corned beef for me. I never thought this 'Prince Corned Beef' suit for me but I was wrong this corned beef is great for any occasion. If you are away from your mother land need to treat for yourself this is best for you. Prince Corned Beef and cabbage curry with rice is amazing for this cold weather.
Jeanette from France
My husband really likes corned beef, but is not happy about the type sold in France, I think he just misses English corned beef so I was pleased when I saw John West corned beef on the British Corner Shop site. So once again my husband can and does enjoy his corn beef sandwiches.
Liam from Netherlands
I have never understood how people could eat corned beef. It is, in my opinion, made of low quality meat and it does not taste of anything, even if you use a lot of pickles or relish. Princes is a great brand of canned food but this product is really not to my liking.
Eileen from Canada
If you like corned beef this one is a winner and if you have never tried it, I recommend you do.
It should be refrigerated prior to use otherwise it does not slice easily. Though many people make hash with corned beef, I prefer mine as cold as possible.
When I was a little girl in the U.K every Saturday in the summer we had "build your own sandwich " for dinner, my mum would put out lots of "fixings" and we would all make our very own creations. My favourite then, and indeed now was whole wheat bread and butter, tomatoes and lettuce (grown by my dad in our garden).
Corned beef also is very nice on a sandwich with HP sauce also sold at BCS.
So go ahead and try your own creative corned beef sandwich.
Nuala from Italy
I was actually rather disappointed with this product. I see it has lots of good reviews, so I don't think I can criticize the brand itself. It's just that I hadn't tasted corned beef for many years and in my memory it was much leaner and somehow more identifiable as meat. Now it tastes like a bit of meat blended in its own fat, when you put it in the fridge you can see the fat solidify.
SUSAN from Spain
I just love corned beef and this particular brand is tasty and just the right size for my family. I also love having a choice of brands so I am not forced into buying just one brand. However, I would recommend this one to my friends next time I buy.

Princes Corned Beef is so versatile, you can use it in salads, sandwiches, with Chips or in corned Beef hash which is my favourite.
Make hash as follows: put a layer of potatoes/onions in a casserole dish add a thick layer of Princes Corned Beef then a layer of Baked beans or tinned tomatoes followed by another layer of potatoes/onion,top with a layer of grated cheddar cook in preheated oven at 180.

I bought two tins of John West Corned Beef in my last order and I wish I bought more! It was the nicest corned beef I ever remember trying. Lean and no way fatty, tasty and such a treat. After leaving it in the fridge for a few hours, I opened it it for teatime sandwiches. Oh My!.... so good.
Ewa from Italy
Just writing about it makes me hungry. This is one of the best corned beef in tins and I am a number one fan of corned beef sandwich. It has a permanent place in my cupboard- and long life means is one of the back up things when there is nothing to eat.
Thomas from Finland
Nice canned beef product with a long shelf life so you can order many and store them in your cupboard. Good to enjoy especially when you are hungry and want to eat some fast food. Great to use in salads and sandwiches.
However, be sure to chill the product before opening since it might taste a bit weird at room temperature.
