It's hard to get a good black colourant for home baking , Dr Oetker have excelled with this jet black gel. I had to make a spiderman mask cake for a friend and with this, I resolved the problem of most of the decoration very easily. Just a few drops at the time is best, mixing well and adding until the desired tone is achieved. No bad aftertaste either.
