Dr Oetker Glycerine is an absolutely essential part of cake decoration. It makes for far more successful results. You really don't need much at a time but I must admit I feel the bottle is still too small. However, this is the only reason that I give it 4 instead of 5 points.

Glycerine is very useful in the kitchen if you do a lot of icing and decorating. A few drops of this will make your icing softer and shiny too. It is a must if you make your own fondant icing (not as difficult as it might seem). You only need a few drops of this at a time, so a small bottle goes a long way.
