Though I have always loved to bake and cook I found any form of decorating the finished product tedious as I think I am rather short on patience. Recently I decided to make a birthday cake for a very dear friend as a surprise, she had no idea about the cake she thought I was just making dinner. I picked up this product on a whim at the risk of sounding very big headed my cake looked super impressive. This is a great product, it tastes good too.

I found it didn't go a long way. I needed two 454g packets to get coverage on a thin 9" double layer for top and sides. If I rolled it too thin the surface would crack. That said, with double quantities it worked well and was relatively easy to roll out.

I am not actually much of a fan of icing itself but I do think that no cake is complete without it! This icing is incredibly easy to use not only to roll but also to mould with your hands. It made me into a bit of a top baker last year as the cake looked fantastic with the icing penguins I was able to make out of the Regalice.

This is just amazingly simple to use and makes any cake look like an expert has iced it. Just knead the icing when you remove it from the packet to make it more pliable and then just roll out.
One packet goes a very long way, I reseal any I don't use and ice fairy cake etc with left overs.
