I was raised in a house with a heavy Swedish influence, and almond is a big flavour in Swedish baked goods. These Almond Slices are incredible and remind me of my grandma. The filling reminds me of an almond tart along with the icing, and the sponge is so tender. It's hard to pick a favourite Mr Kipling product, but this is right up there.

Perfect for people who like Mr Kipling's Bakewell Tarts, but find the icing a little too sweet. I choose these because they have an excellent almondy flavour cake which is perfectly served by the fruity plum and raspberry jam and the not too sweet pastry. Altogether they are a very satisfying morsel and the perfect slicing really complements the neatness of an afternoon tea or cake selection.

As I remembered from my childhood these little cakes are delightful, they are moist but not soggy. The taste of almond is truly wonderful, the jam though subtle adds to the taste.
I enjoy mine with a fresh cup of coffee and my weekly episode of Downton Abbey. Bliss indeed, thank you Mr Kipling.

Mr. Kipling products are always good - very reliable. I just received them and the first two are gone! Rich, fresh and super tasty..they are lovely. I love the subtle almond taste and the jam flavour. I was also impressed that they have a decent expiry date although they probably will not last that long!
