I forgot how much I enjoyed these while living in England! The packet of 6 Viennese Whirls arrived with plenty of shelf life left and was fresh. A little like a very light shortbread cookie, with a layer of raspberry jam and cream frosting, they remind me a little of scones! The jam is just enough and the cream frosting is not too sugary. Just the right size with a cup of tea.

What you want to do is put some Mozart on the jukebox, and then 'whirl' around your private home ballroom, while eating a sixpack of these cakes. In one go. Failing that, put your feet up, have a cuppa, and enjoy one of these delicious confectionery creations. They also go well with coffee.

Mr Kiplings Viennese Whirls are definitely exceedingly good as the old tagline goes. The biscuit is light and buttery with the perfect crumble. The cream is light and airy and has just the right amount of sweetness. The jam adds the perfect finishing touch, sweet, but not overpowering. A perfect accompaniment to a milky cuppa.

I tried the Viennese Whirls right away, they are wonderful, light and buttery, not overly sweet. Only problem is how do you eat just one?

Very moist but at the same time crumbly, Mr Kipling Viennese Whirls are delicious. The biscuit is chunky and buttery, with a hint of vanilla and the creamy filling is thick and again, with a hint of vanilla. They melt in your mouth and one Viennese whirl is just not enough.

He does make exceedingly good cakes and biscuits (you can't dunk a cake) as well if these are anything to go by. The shortcake biscuits melt in your mouth and are not too sweet to balance the sweetness of the jam and cream filling. Once opened I can easily devour the entire box in an afternoon.
