JILL from United States
We don't have much in the way of blackcurrant here in the US, aside from jam, and a few imported products like Ribena. I love these pie's, and I'm not a huge pie fan. The filling is so good with the blackcurrants and apples, and the crust is perfectly flaky and crumbly at the same time. I also like the size just enough to get my sweet tooth happy, without being too much.
Daisy from Italy
A taste of England in Italy.....when you live abroad, there are a few things you miss, certain English food being one of them. Luckily, we came across this site. Our order included amongst other things these wonderful pies, together, of course, with some instant custard! The only unfortunate thing is that they are so nice we ate them all very quickly. We will definitely be ordering more!
Liam from Netherlands
We all love Mr Kipling cakes in my household, we would buy much more if they were not so expensive. The crust is solid and buttery, yet crumbles nicely when you eat it. This mix of apple and blackcurrant filling is different than other products on the market, super fruity and very British.
Eileen from Canada
I left Britain 40 years ago and recently purchased these wonderful pies, that tasted just as I remembered and will definately re-order.
Roger from Germany
Mr Kiplings Apple and Blackcurrant Pies are perfect for that Dessert course, not to heavy and perfect for a Family of four two each for the adults and one each for the Kids.
Why not add some Ambrosia Custard the perfect accompaniment.
At the moment the BCS sale price is almost half, take advantage.
Jessica from France
My mother used to make pies like these when I was little and I'm not as good at baking as she is so these are the closest I could ever find to the home-baked pie and you can't fiind them in France. The pastry has a fresh taste and texture and the filling is full of fruit.
Lee from Scotland
A big winter winner for me! Mr kiplings apple and black currant pies defiantly hit the spot on those cold nights, can be eaten cold or slightly warned, with a rich soft crumbling pastry case filled generously with large chunks Of apple and black currant pieces, why not add some custard!
Christopher from UK - England
I have always had strange cravings for Mr Kipling's Apple and Blackcurrant Pies whenever I've walked past them while doing the weekly shop.
That first one is always nice, fruity and a treat, but the more you eat the more you realise that they're mainly pastry. Plus they can go stale quite quickly when opened.
All in all, I like them, but I wish they came in smaller packs or that my family ate them too (not really Mr Kipling's fault, but a 3 star nonetheless).
