Product information

Saffron is the most expensive herb that you can buy and a little goes a long way.

The word saffron originates from the Arabic word for 'yellow'. Only the upper part of the plant is used (stigma).

It can be incorporated into many recipes including paella, kabobs, rice and mashed potatoes. Varying opinions say it tastes slightly bitter, or rather like mild honey, but most favour that it has the taste of the sea.

Most popular with customers in Italy, but you can buy Schwartz Saffron Jar 0.4g for delivery worldwide.

One of our Schwartz branded products.
