I think these may be a very cultural experience. I never had these growing up, which may be why I don't have any attachment to them. They really are basically hamburger buns with raisins in them?

Even though British Corner Shop warned that there was a short date on the Warburtons Fruity Teacakes, I decided to risk it. The delivery arrived here in the US very quickly and so they were easily in date. I froze a packet immediately and that worked well. I wish they had some spice that is, I wish they were more like Hot Cross Buns which I would order all year round if I could! but they were very good and a reminder of home.

Warburtons Fruity Teacakes make a great snack for anyone. They have an abundance of plump, juicy dried fruit, giving it a nice, sweet taste. Just pop one in the toaster oven for a bit and spread some creamy butter on them. Or you can eat them at room temperature. Voila! You have a delicious snack.
Jennifer from United States
Being American I am at a disadvantage of not having tried these before. I found that they were decent when heated and covered in butter. Out of the package they taste like hamburger buns with raisins.
Janet from Poland
Warburtons fruity teacakes are delicious toasted with a spreading of butter. The texture of the teacake is soft and slightly gooey when chewed. They have just the correct amount of currants and sultanas, great for a breakfast or an afternoon treat, buttered with an added spreading of jam. I usually eat one teacake at a time and put the remainder of the pack in the freezer. Even after freezing they are just as soft and tasty, once defrosted.

Warburtons fruity teacakes are best. Light, fruity and delicious. I warm these teacakes in oven, use soft butter to spread on them and we eat them cut in half sandwiched together. Have tried several brands of teacakes but always come come back to these as they are a good size and some of posher ones have too many zesty bits in which do not taste quite right. Great for breakfast!
Eileen from Canada
A delightful and tasty treat that is similar to a hot cross bun. I like mine toasted and then buttered. All that is required for me is a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee to really compliment this fruity confection,
In the unlikely event that you do not eat the entire package rather quickly they freeze very well.

Memories are made of this!
My grandmother used to take me to a Lyon's Corner House and the height of my day was not the little fancy cakes but the wonderful hot toasted teacakes with salty butter.
Why we like to eat what we grew up with is because it brings back memories.
Thanks to Warburtons and BCS I can indulge!
Girolama from Italy
Teacakes are really good! I heated them, then stuffed with jam and enjoyed with a good cup of coffee for breakfast! They have a really short expiry date, so I had to eat them the day after the package arrived in Italy! This doesn't alter the quality of the product.

Warburtons fruity teacakes are soft fruity rolls you cannot find anywhere else but the UK. They are as good cold as they are warm - slightly toasted in the toaster or a few minutes in the oven. They are delicious alone or with some butter and jam. I find that they last longer than the indicated shelf life and can be frozen.
Caroline from France
While I do prefer homemade teacakes with more spices than these, they are a fiddle to make and it is great to have some Warburtons fruity teacakes in the freezer when we feel the need for a taste of home or a quick buttered snack.
Like Marc I would prefer to have candied peel but these are a great standby.
Ian from Germany
These Fruity teacakes are delightful. Warburtons soft bread is packed full of goodness giving you a treat that works well toasted or un-toasted.
I often freeze them as the shelf life is quite short. After they have been in the freezer they are easily defrosted and prepared for eating with a short trip to the toaster.
Bruna from Italy
I love Warburton's fruity teacakes and even though there is a short date on the pack I'd still risk it and order just the same. They are at their best when toasted and buttered. Fragrant and fresh tasting, with just the right amount of juicy dried fruit in them. Excellent value for money.
Caterina from France
For me these are Breakfast cakes :) My favourite breakfast, when I have the time, is a nice cup of (British) tea and toasted fruit loaf. Warburtons Fruity Teacakes are soft and slightly sweet with juicy currants and sultanas which give the buns a nice flavour. They're sweet enough so I prefer them just with butter or on their own.
Marc from Netherlands
These are my fix for most of the year when I can't feed my hot cross bun addiction. Plenty of currants and sultanas, but sadly no candied peels which is part of what makes a tea cake taste so good. The tops always seem to burn long before the inside is toasted if you put them in the toaster, definitely use the grill for these.
