Here’s how you create your delicious shepherds pie: brown off the mince, onions and carrots in a saucepan, and then stir in the sachets contents along with water and peas. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Transfer everything to an ovenproof dish and add a crowning layer of potato. Bake for around 20 minutes and there you have it – a shepherds pie to be proud of!

I surprised my family by making a Shepherd's Pie for our Christmas dinner. Everyone was so delighted! We felt like we have a little bit of Scotland here with us. Shepherd's pie is very easy to make yet has very complex flavours, that's why I absolutely need Schwartz mix to make a very tasy pie. I usually add an Oxo cube and a dash of Worcester Sauce to the minced lamb before adding sliced carrots, onions, frozen peas, water and the content of the sachet.
