Tonight I hadn't sorted out anything for dinner, I just couldn't think what to make, to be honest I really couldn't be bothered, Im sure we all get days just like this. I had a few chicken breasts and I had this mix in the cupboard, so I thought I would give it a whirl, I've not used this before and it's actually been a long time since I used a packet mix at all, so I wasn't sure what it would be like. I added the onions, carrots, a chopped leek and a couple of garlic cloves along with the chicken. Popped it in the oven for an hour and a half a little longer than stated, I did feel rather lazy. It smelt absolutely wonderful after a while in the oven. We all loved the flavour, chicken can normally be bland but this really made a difference, it added a great flavour, the chicken was moist and above all it was just so easy. I served it with boiled, buttered potatoes. The mix is excellent, just the perfect blend and amount of the herbs and flavouring. I know you could probably do it yourself, but this way it's all done for you, it's simple and Colmans have done all the work. I will definitely be getting more of these along with some others. Next time I will gently fry off the garlic and chicken before adding it to the pot. I would definitely recommend these.
